"Globe Crash-Glass Tower"

The Globe Crash-Glass Tower is 6ft 7" tall, and after having been displayed at the Belen Art League Fall Show, is now in its permanent home in our courtyard. The glass along with alcohol-ink color has been applied to plastic bowls-one upside down on top of another to form a "globe." There is a 2" PVC pipe running through the center and based in cement. The tower also has a metal stake pounded into the ground that goes a foot up the center to assure additional stability. The tower is lit from within by 400 LED lights.

It was a lot of fun and a lot of work to make, but especially when it lights up at night (automatically-when it gets dark) it is truly worth the work!
